Supreme Sikh Council UK

Supreme Sikh Council UK (Est. 2010 ) United Voice of the Sikhs - Gurdwara Sahibs Support Project.

WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE. THIS SITE HAS
BEEN ORGANISED BY THE SUPREME SIKH COUNCIL

In 2010 there was a national meeting of Gurdwara Sahibs held at the Ramgharia Gurdwara Sahib on Graham Street in Birmingham. The meeting was hosted by the Sikh Channel (then a young community-based channel) and it was resolved that there was a need for an independent professional representative Sikh Organisation to represent the British Sikhs.

This was followed by six months of nationwide consultation on the constitution and objectives, and finally the Sikh Council UK was inaugurated in December 2010. The Council has evolved and enjoys a large membership of Gurdwaras and national Sikh organisations. In 2020 the Council was refreshed to meet emerging challenges. It’s stature has grown through successes and is now known as the Supreme Sikh Council UK (est 2010).
